Another week, another award.

Not that we’re blasé about it; far from it. In fact, we’re blown away to announce that, for the third straight year, we’ve been named on the winners’ list of the Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Choice 2017 awards for Boutique Hotels.

Anyone who has anything to do with our business will tell you: the Good Hotel Guide is rightly renowned for its independence and impartiality. Being named by them as one of their winning boutique hotels is flattering for us, but also influential for potential guests trying to gain a solid, objective view of who’s who and what’s what. The fact that we’ve been on the winners’ list for 2015, 2016 and now 2017 underlines how consistently we must be doing something right.

Laurence Beere,  our joint proprietor, said: “Everyone’s hard work here is obviously not done with awards in mind. But it is incredibly gratifying when a prestigious and independent organisation like The Good Hotel Guide acknowledges its value, especially for three consecutive years. One doesn’t ‘roll out the red carpet’ for their visits because they’re anonymous, so any award they make is clear evidence of the kind of service and quality any guest will receive at any time. We’re all delighted, of course.”

The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain and Ireland. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their entry as they do in most rival guides. No money changes hands, and the editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels.
