The Queensberry Experience
Originally commissioned as a residential home by its namesake, the 8th Marquess of Queensberry,
this Georgian hotel in Bath encompasses four fabulous Georgian terraced buildings close to the centre of Bath. On stepping inside, you immediately start to feel wrapped in the idiosyncratic Queensberry experience.
The four original properties are now all one building; this can initially be puzzling, which is all part of the experience. The uniqueness continues: your room – one of 29 – is individually designed and furnished following Georgian tradition, but with twists of contemporary comfort. Every facet has been carefully considered, from the interior design to the luxury bathrooms, from the beautiful wallpaper to the beds, tiles and lighting.
Downstairs are some comfortable sitting rooms and The Old Q Bar, all of which can be enjoyed at any time, day or night. There is also a walled courtyard garden – a calm and hushed sanctuary in a hotel near the centre of Bath. Below it all is the acclaimed Olive Tree restaurant, awarded its first Michelin Star in October 2018 and proudly maintained every year since.
Complimentary Canton tea and Nespresso coffee are on hand in the drawing room 24 hours a day.
