Hotel Receptionist

The Queensberry Hotel, Bath’s renowned boutique hotel is looking for an enthusiastic individual.

This role includes:

  • Welcoming guests to the hotel
  • Checking guests in and out
  • Taking reservations for the hotel and restaurant
  • Some administration
  • Maintaining the public areas of the hotel
  • Working with the porters to assist guests with their luggage and valet parking cars
  • Assist restaurant team with bar service and room service occasionally

Receptionists work on a flexible 8 hour shift basis including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Earliest start 7am, latest finish 11pm. This is a physically demanding job where you will be standing for a large part of the day and some lifting is involved when moving guest’s luggage.

Your profile:

  • Hotel background and similar experience would be a real advantage but not essential
  • A passion for providing excellent levels of guest service and enjoy working in a busy environment
  • High level of spoken and written English
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good local knowledge of Bath is desirable
  • Please note that a full valid driving licence is ESSENTIAL for this role. Valet parking guest cars is a daily and frequent part of this role.

Chef de Partie

The Olive Tree Restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel is looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join our dedicated kitchen team.

This role will include working most weekends, public holidays and most evenings. The rota system will mean that you will work five days out of seven each week including split shifts covering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Restaurant Supervisor

The Queensberry Hotel & Olive Tree Restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our dedicated restaurant team as Restaurant Supervisor.

The main duties include:

  • Serving food and drink in the Olive Tree Restaurant
  • Supporting manager and assistant manager
  • Coach and train the team
  • Cleaning, re-stocking and preparing for service.

All roles are mainly focused on working within The Olive Tree Restaurant during breakfast, lunch and dinner service 5 days per week. This is a physically demanding role working to a very high standard in a team of highly experienced individuals.

  • Experience of working in a restaurant of similar level

Kitchen Porter

The Olive Tree Restaurant is looking for a full or part time Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.

The role is based upon 5 days per week on a rota basis with 5 straight shifts. On an average of 40 hours per week.(£8.17 an hour)

This is a physically demanding job working in a high pressure and very busy environment. Ideally we are looking for someone with some experience although training will be given.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cleaning the kitchen
  • Operating the dishwasher
  • Basic food prep
  • Assisting the kitchen team in daily duties
