We believe in our unique approach to fine dining; Bath offers a setting unlike anywhere else in the country, so why dine anywhere else?
The Olive Tree is Bath’s only Michelin Star restaurant sets its own standards. Upheld by all who tread in the kitchen or dining areas, our quality and service speak volumes. Offering sensational informal fine dining, our award-winning head chef Chris Cleghorn honed his skills as the protégé of three world-renowned Michelin Star chefs. He knows his way around a kitchen and how to create a perfect informal fine dining atmosphere. Blended together, it’s no surprise that we are one of the most romantic restaurants in Bath.
Championing seasonal produce and using local ingredients as much as possible, Chris’ spectacular menus are sure to impress all who dine here. Whilst our reviews speak for themselves, we’d much rather you tried one of our menus for yourself – choose from our à la carte options for dinner six nights a week or for lunch, Friday to Sunday. Chef also has his signature five or seven-course tasting menus that can be accompanied by expert wine pairings to complement and augment each dish.
We’ve always been proud of our wine lists. From white and red to rosé and sparkling, whatever region meets your preference (or if you wish to try something new) do ask and we can check our cellar. Our new restaurant manager Owen Farr would be happy to help you discover a new wine or revisit an old favourite.
Alongside the restaurant, the Old Q Bar has its own personality and has heard many stories from its patrons. The perfect platform to showcase the skill of our bar staff, the bar is stocked with an extensive range of drinks from around the world. If your preferred tipple is a spirit, whisky, cocktail, tap or something a little different, we’re confident we can pour something agreeable.
You’re welcome, incidentally, if you’d prefer room service, to choose anything from the bar menu until 10pm, with a more limited selection available throughout the night.
